They are amazing son jarocho musical artists from Vera Cruz and from the Bay Area.
Son de Fandango is a son jarocho band featuring guitarist/singer-songwriter Claudio Vega Formerly of Los Vegas) and Lolis Garcia. These musicians and their unique jarana instrument highlight their long tradition (5th generation) of the regional folk musical style of Mexican Son from Veracruz, a state along the Gulf of Mexico. They interweave native, Spanish, and African sounds and beats with powerful melodies and intriguing historical lyrics, as well as neat instrumental interludes. To reserve your house concert spot venmo @Dolores-Garcia-24 and email [email protected] if you plan to attend for address in Davis, California. Doors open at 3 pm and the music starts at 4 pm.
