March Fong Eu Story, An Authorized Biography of An Unauthorized Woman
March Fong Eu was born in the back of her parents’ hand laundry in Oakdale CA. When she graduated from Richmond High School, adults told her to go back to China and forget careers in science or teaching. She ignored that advice, got a BS (UCB/SF), MA (Mills College) and EdD (Stanford). She was elected to the Alameda County Board of Education, California Assembly, and as California’s Secretary of State. She wanted her story to be told to inspire others to follow her 40+ years of public service.
