A one-night storytelling event bringing to the stage five healthcare workers from our local community to share deeply personal stories on the theme of Secrets. In a The Moth meets The Pitt mash-up, our storytelling evenings flip the script on how we usually interact with healthcare workers, inviting connection through vulnerability and our shared humanity. This evening will highlight a midwife’s birth stories; a physician’s retrospective of his father’s expectations; a preventive care coordinator’s journey to herself; a registered nurse’s story of pain and beauty; and a safety ambassador’s relationship with her late mother.
Medicine Story Two: Secrets is produced by original Medicine Story storyteller, Dr. Frances Southwick, with live original music from award-winning singer-songwriter and music director, Judith Avers, and guided by our host and Medicine Story series creator, Dr. Rebecca George.
