Dave Nachmanoff is a Davis-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with an unusual background. A former philosophy instructor, with a PhD in the subject, he has used his teaching background to lead songwriting workshops for non-songwriters with a diverse range of people. He has toured for over 15 years with Al Stewart (“Year of the Cat”) and appeared on stages all over the US and Europe, both with Stewart and on his own. With his own small studio, Nachmanoff also writes and records Custom Songs for clients around the world, and produces local and non-local musicians. Although he is often out on the road, Dave loves his adopted hometown of Davis and is an active member of the community.
