Broken Compass Bluegrass is happy to touch down for the first time in Davis at Three Mile Brewing Co. We plan to raise a ruckus so prepare yourselves for a slamming night of bluegrass & brews! Ever since he picked up a fiddle at the age of three years old, Kyle Ledson has drenched himself in music, taking influences of bluegrass & The Grateful Dead to create his own original music for a more modern “Jamgrass” scene. His first album release, “Crooked Mandolin,” saw him collaborating with childhood heroes like Hot Buttered Rum, the T Sisters, and the incredibly talented Molly Tuttle when he was just 14 years old. Kyle’s sophomore album, “Left It All Behind,” was released in 2021 when he was 18 years old. The stellar record of mostly original tunes featured members Yonder Mountain String Band, ALO, & Hot Buttered Rum. “This 18 year old man is an extraordinary talent in the world of bluegrass/Americana. His skills on mandolin and flatpicking guitar are rare. His songwriting abilities make him the total package. He’s only 18, but he has the sort of skills many can’t achieve over the course of a lifetime.”
