Information from: City of Davis news alerts

The City of Davis Fire Department invites the community to join us on 9/11 at 8:30 a.m. at Fire Station 31 (530 5th Street) for a remembrance ceremony honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. While a quarter century has passed, we continue to remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, the families forever changed and the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel and everyday people who responded with extraordinary courage. All are welcome to attend and join us as we remember those we lost, honor those who served and reflect on the courage and unity that followed.
