Anton Barbeau Album Release Concert Live

October 9th is the release date for Anton Barbeau’s latest album, Come Home To Me. The record features performances from Colin Moulding and Dave Gregory (XTC) as well as Andy Metcalfe, Donald Ross Skinner and Terry Edwards.

Anton is pleased to bring his All Time Xmas Band to the Melon Ball to launch the album. Watch out Steinway!

Anton Barbeau, a Sacramento native and lifelong songwriter, has released nearly 40 albums, including his latest, Come Home To Me, a joint release between Gare du Nord (UK), Rock Indiana (Spain) and Think Like A Key (USA). After 2025’s “Dad death, DMT and Steely Dan” trilogy, Come Home To Me is a *somewhat* more straightforward affair, with clean, jangly pop songs like “World Calls Love” and the title track demanding attention. Still, there’s always room for musical mischief on an Anton album, as the floppy P-Funk of “I Touched The Butter” demonstrates.

Barbeau has worked with members of XTC, Cake, The Pretenders, The Soft Boys and the Bevis Frond. In Sacramento, the local newspaper might struggle to spell his name correctly, but in England, Stewart Lee stands in the front row at his gigs. Popmatters says of him, simply, “Anton Barbeau is one of the best unknown pop singer-songwriters in the world, period.” After living abroad for 15 years, first in the UK and then in Berlin, Barbeau has returned to California, and now lives on his wife’s small town family farm.
