Art in Action: New Family Workshops

This summer, the Pence Gallery invites children and their families to participate in the return of our family art workshops! Our program, Art in Action, offers kids ages 5-12 engaging art projects that prioritize having fun and learning together with parents or adult caregivers. Projects are designed to introduce kids to making their own artwork, by experimenting with creative ideas and materials. Our resident art teacher will introduce you to the wealth of possibilities in our upstairs classroom. This is a drop-in program, with no registration required.
MINIATURE CLAY CREATIONS | July 23rd
- taking inspiration from food and the natural world. families use air dry clay to create unique and colorful sculptural creations.
TERRIFIC TERRARIUMS | August 20th
- construct and decorate your own terrarium with succulents, air plants, soil, glass enclosures, and more!
DOT & SCRAPE PAINTINGS | September 17th
- create bold & colorful works of art by experimenting with dotting, scrapping, swirling, and mixing paint.
HOW IT WORKS
- Pay at the door with cash or card.
- A parent or caregiver is required to stay, but only has to pay for the project for themselves if they are also doing art.
