“Celebrate Hope & Resilience”
A NAMI Yolo County community picnic to celebrate mental health for all.
NAMI Yolo County, the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will be celebrating mental health for all at the annual Celebrate Hope and Resilience event on April 23, 2023 at the Davis Central Park Pavilion at 3rd and C Streets from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The event will feature a variety of activity stations including the opportunity to learn about pet therapy with Capital Therapy Dogs, an emotional safety plan presentation by Nicole Carter, LCSW, music and mental health with Watermelon Music, and an art project for all ages. A BBQ lunch will be provided by the Davis Firefighters Local 3494 (vegan options available) with musical entertainment by Hattie and the Moonhowlers.
Formerly known as the Pat Williams Mental Health Dinner, this annual event has been renamed “NAMI Yolo County: Celebrate Hope and Resilience,” to better reflect NAMI Yolo County’s focus on hope, resilience, and recovery. The community looks forward to this time to gather, socialize, give support to one another, and celebrate the advancements made this year toward better understanding of mental health conditions and eliminating stigma.
Tickets are available online at www.namiyolo.org/celebrate2023 through April 20th or can be purchased at the door.
