Garth will share his story about his evolution of thinking about climate change using his hometown as an example of how life is and how it could be better. Specifically, he will talk about how we can get to a better place by 1) addressing the underlying issues 2) changing our mindset and talking with others in a productive way 3) finding peace in our own life and 4) envisioning a better future so we can build it.
Garth Lindley is passionate about the environment and has self-educated himself about climate change and how it is a culmination of all the ways in which we are not living in the boundaries of earth. In his 20s Garth got involved with watershed organizations by showing up to one too many trash clean ups and was invited to the board. Since then he has learned more about nature and how to restore balance to our world; gotten involved with many environmental non-profits and worked professionally for environmental organizations. He attended Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project training in 2017 and took several years after that to find a way to succinctly illustrate the human, not just technical issues around climate change.
