Sacramento Regional FIRST Robotics Competition

 

In CHARGED UP presented by Haas, 45 high school teams are inspired to see the potential of energy storage in a new light as they compete to charge up their communities.

Teams of students and engineering and technical mentors will demonstrate their skill for science, mathematics, and technology. They will compete for honors and recognition that reward design excellence, competitive play, sportsmanship, and high-impact partnerships between schools, businesses, and communities. Rotating alliances of three robots compete face-to-face on a large field to place energy storage cubes and cones in sequences and then balance on the Charge Station. Each match is two and a half minutes, beginning with a preprogrammed 15-second autonomous period. Teams also compete for awards in engineering and community engagement.
