“Google: The Genealogist’s Best Friend” by Dr. James Baker

September 15 @ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Free

The Davis Genealogy Club presents, “Google: The Genealogist’s Best Friend” by Dr. James Baker, on Tuesday, September 15th, at 1 PM at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A Street, Davis. The public is invited to this free virtual program designed for curious researchers at all levels and shown on the big screen. Does Google “know” anything about genealogy? Well yes–perhaps more you realize. In this talk, Dr. Baker will explain how using Google’s different applications including images, books, maps, and its advanced search capabilities, can help us with our genealogy research.
James Baker has been an active genealogist for the past 17 years. He specializes in German, Midwest US, early American research, and DNA. View the presentation alongside club members and enjoy refreshments, or participate via Zoom by emailing President@DavisGenealogy.org to request a guest pass. Baker is one of the club’s favorite presenters. Mark your calendar for this fun and helpful demonstration, and stop by early to tour our research Library. Q&A to follow the talk.
