Watermelon Music is pleased to announce another Holiday Horn Day featuring acclaimed composer and lifelong hornist Randall E. Faust and hornist/educator Pete Nowlen.
The event is open to horn players of all levels. Beginning at 9:00 Randall Faust & Pete Nowlen will host an ensemble reading session of spirited holday horn arrangements, followed at noon by free private horn lessons for interested hornists.

Randall Faust served as Professor of Music at Western Illinois University from 1997 until May 2018--where his teaching areas included Applied Horn, Brass Chamber Music and Music Theory and horninst of the Camerata Woodwind Quintet and the LaMoine Brass Quintet. Previously, he held appointments at Auburn University (Alabama) and Shenandoah Conservatory of Music (Virginia) where he taught a full range of music courses including Applied Horn, Composition, Music Theory and Brass Chamber Music.
A prize-winning French horn soloist, Pete Nowlen has been a member of the UC Davis faculty since 1988 and has been a dynamic part of the northern California music scene for nearly 30 years. He is dedicated to renewing and sustaining classical music's relevance in our society and his career has led him to surprisingly diverse opportunities.
