Island Crew Featured at Performers’ Circle

Island Crew, an acoustic trio specializing in “Island Americana” music, will be the featured act at the Village Homes Performers’ Circle, Tuesday, August 27, in Davis. They will perform original tunes about boats, beaches and bars. Ernie Silva sings and plays 6- and 12-string guitars. Multi-instrumentalist “Steel” Pemberton plays lap steel, ukulele, and guitar. Percussionist “Mountain Lion” Padilla plays pan drum, congas, djembe, bongos, and marimba. Their music is influenced by the Hawaiian renaissance, Azorean folk music, and songs from the San Francisco Bay area where the three musicians grew up. The event begins with an open mike from 7:00 to 8:15 pm and concludes with the featured performance from 8:30 to 9 pm.
