Lorie Hammond will be at the store for an author meet-and-greet on Saturday, November 12 from 10:30am-12:00pm. Come to meet Lorie and hear about her wonderful book, Growing Whole Children in the Garden.
Dr. Lorie Hammond is a lifelong educator and the founder of Peregrine School, a progressive school in Davis, California that includes science and gardening in the curriculum for children from preschool through sixth grade. She believes that children learn through exploration and hands-on experience, and that the goal of education is to help each child find their unique path.
