Alexandra Roedder, cellist, will play Bach Suites on a 1743 baroque cello.
Cellist Alexandra Roedder holds degrees in music from UC Berkeley, baroque cello from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, as well as her doctorate in musicology and her master’s in cello performance from UCLA. She currently performs regularly with the Sacramento Baroque Soloists, InConcert Sierra, Camerata California, the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra, the Sacramento Philharmonic, and many other local orchestras. In recent years she has been a soloist with Music in the Mountains Youth Orchestra, the Auburn Symphony, and the Folsom Lake Symphony. Dr. Roedder also holds the position of Principal Cellist with both the Auburn and Folsom Lake Symphonies, and maintains a large teaching studio with students aged 5 to 85.
