Great Songs from Unfortunate Musicals!
Some of the best (and best loved) Broadway songs came from flop musicals—and by
some of the best songwriters in the business. At our noontime concert you’ll enjoy
music by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Porter, Gershwin, Sondheim, Styne, and more.
CapRadio’s Stephen Peithman (“Musical Stages,” “Connections”) provides the inside
stories of 10 unfortunate musicals, while well-known local performers Lenore Sebastian
and Joe Alkire deliver the vocals, accompanied by LuAnn Higgs. (Stephen sings a bit,
too).
