Join world renowned nature photographer Lewis Kemper as he provides new insights, inspiration and instruction to photographers of all levels in this fun-filled educational experience designed to enhance your photographic skills. This is a hybrid event split between two sessions.

During the first session, on March 2, you will participate in a virtual educational workshop designed to enhance your photographic skills. Topics will include the essentials of light, color, and composition and prepare you for the tour.

In the second session, on March 4, you will meet Lewis at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Headquarters. After light hors d’oeuvres and drinks, the group will travel to the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area (or another local natural setting, if the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area is closed due to flooding), to put their newfound knowledge into practice. After the second session, there will be an opportunity to share your recently captured photos for group discussion and critique in a private Facebook group, with Lewis guiding the way.

Lewis Kemper is widely recognized as a photographer, writer, and instructor, lecturing throughout the United States. Books include, Ancient Ancestors of the Southwest published by Graphic Arts Center Publishing; Capturing the Light which won the People’s Choice Award in Fine Art in the 2009 “Photography.Book.Now” competition; and his Photographing Yosemite Digital Field Guide which was voted in the top 20 field guides. Lewis’ training videos have been used by thousands of photographers, helping them with their photographic and post processing skills. Lewis is currently a “Tamron Ambassador.”
