ABOUT
Paper Birds is a wonderful, once-in-a-blue-moon pop-up band born of the friendship between two exceptional singer/songwriter duos: California’s Claudia Russell and Bruce Kaplan, and Wisconsin’s Katie Dahl and Rich Higdon. From the Bay Area, Russell and Kaplan bring their unique Americana sound, driven by Russell’s gorgeous voice, eclectic and engaging songwriting and the couple’s dynamic instrumental arrangements. The duo has performed more than 1000 shows at festivals, concert halls, clubs, community centers, backyards, and living rooms, often alongside great collaborators—John Gorka, Laurie Lewis, Don Henry, Peter Rowan, Tish Hinojosa, and Christine Lavin, to name a few.
ROBIN’S NEST
Robin’s Nest hosts intimate live performances in northern California. Scroll down for concert descriptions and dates. To RSVP, please use the form below. We will only accept reservations for two people (you and your guest) at a total of three total concerts made at one time. In other words, please only sign up for three concerts so everyone has a chance to see their desired performers. Additional reservations will be offered 30 days before each concert if there is room. All Shows are from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30. Please bring a low-back lawn chair, something to drink to share with others, and a $20 donation per person for the musicians.
Snacks will be available but feel free to bring dinner.
