Think. Do. Discover. A Case for the Humanities in the Age of STEM

April 30 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Free

Entrepreneurs and innovators come from all industries and educational backgrounds.

For Mitch Lasky, a foundation in the humanities inspired his creativity and gave him the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills that powered his personal “hero’s journey” as a corporate leader, start-up entrepreneur, and venture capital investor.

🎙️ Join us for a thought-provoking talk with Mitch, as he champions the crucial role of the humanities (and digital humanities) in shaping innovation and entrepreneurship in today’s ever-evolving world.

At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in a Q&A session with Mitch and delve deeper into his wide-ranging career experience. 🚀
  • Build your professional network at an outdoor reception with refreshments. 🍇🥨

Free and open to all. We’ll see you there!

Mitch Lasky is a partner at Benchmark, one of Silicon Valley’s top venture firms, and a co-owner of Major League Soccer Club LAFC. At Benchmark, he made early investments in many games and mobile application companies, including Riot Games (League of Legends), Snapchat, and Discord. Before joining Benchmark, Mitch worked at the Walt Disney Company, ran Activision’s studios, founded the first mobile game startup to go public in the U.S. and led mobile and online gaming at Electronic Arts. He has a podcast on the modern history of the video game business called GameCraft.
