For over 30 years, the Egghead sculptures at UC Davis have elicited joy, protest and conversation. They’re also a fascinating entry point into the broader story of art in California and here at UC Davis. “Unexpected Legends: Arneson, Eggheads and Arts at UC Davis” is a 30-minute documentary that tells the surprising history and trajectory of one of the country’s most dynamic creative environments.
Manetti Shrem Museum Founding Director Rachel Teagle, professors Simon Sadler, Robin Hill and Darrin Martin, and alumni artists Deborah Butterfield (‘71, M.F.A. ’73) and April Camlin (M.F.A. ’24) are among those featured.
