Peterson’s work has been recognized with awards and fellowships. Her fifth book, Life in a Field, was selected for the 2020 Omnidawn Open Book Prize. She is the Director of the Graduate Creative Writing Program at the University of California at Davis, where she is Professor of English and a Chancellor’s Fellow.
