DESCRIPTION:A collaborative exhibition by husband and wife David Kalb and Nancy Gelbard\, exploring how two artists respond to the same moments using lens and brush. David’s street photographs capture spontaneous\, unguarded scenes from everyday life. Many of Nancy’s oil paintings are created directly from these photographs. In addition to their shared artistic experience\, each artist is also exhibiting individual pieces of their work.

DESCRIPTION:“The Artery Menagerie” is a unique exhibit that celebrates the art of ceramics. Twenty Northern California artists explore the animal form as subject\, symbol and storyteller—whether real or imagined\, domestic or wild. The show is in conjunction with CCACA\, the annual ceramic sculpture conference\, at the John Natsoulas Gallery. We will be open until 9 on April 24 during this ceramic conference. SUMMARY:The Abstract Language of Ceramics
DESCRIPTION:The Abstract Language of Ceramics\nExhibit: April 10 – June 3\, 2026\nReception: April 10\, 6-9 PM (Free) \nThe Abstract Language of Ceramics features the work of ceramic artists Karyn Gabriel\, Mark Goudy\, Kris Marubayashi\, Liza Riddle\, and Laura Van Duren. Together\, these artists create striking geometric and biomorphic forms that underline their pursuit of simple forms inspired by nature. Karyn Gabriel’s woven vessels and hangings merge the idea of fiber and weaving with the flexible nature of clay. Goudy’s current sculptures are modeled on mathematical equations\, which he adapts on the computer\, using new technology to design and create molded forms. Kris Marubayashi’s vessels have a sense of movement and balance\, and employ natural textures and an earth-toned palette. Liza Riddle’s modified cubes\, hanging plinths\, and circles use color sparingly to emphasize the beauty of cracks that form while drying.
