THRU DEC 1. UC DAVIS DESIGN MUSEAM (CRUESS HALL, ROOM 124). Exhibit features exquisite African ceremonial textiles, Miao costumes from southwest China, & various Japanese kimonos displayed alongside contemporary textile work. these aesthetically unique objects convey a cultural crossroads in the world of design. 12p–4p. THRU DEC 2. JOHN NATSOULAS GALLERY. An exhibition featuring 365 ceramic rabbits, each one uniquely capturing a different reflection of the human experience. Aguirre, a celebrated ceramic artist known for depicting the human condition, is donating proceeds from the collection to the UCLA Brain Cancer Research Center in honor of her daughter, Kailei. Free

THRU DEC 1. PENCE GALLERY. Four artists from Siskiyou County–Belinda Hanson, Chris Clother, Cathy Valentine, & Carol Jenkins–work in distinctly different media, addressing the changes they’ve encountered over the past three years. Through installations, mixed media, paintings, & assemblage, they address their relationship with nature, light, & the vagaries of life as they know it. Free
THE ARTERY. Using a combination of materials, Jack creates dynamic images that celebrate the beauty in everyday surroundings. “Blanketed” refers to his layering process, beginning with a watercolor, pastel and acrylic background applied with spray or airbrush. 10a—6p.

PENCE GALLERY. Learn to paint luminous papers, create gel prints, & use different mediums to draw on found papers, combining these elements to create a series of collages sealed with matte varnish or cold wax medium. 10a–3:30p. $340–$360

DAVIS CEMETERY. For the closing of this exhibition, the work will be re-installed throughout the grounds of the cemetery. Visitors will be guided through a walking meditation of the cemetery that will culminate in the opportunity to receive healing song from members of the Davis Threshold Singers. A public ancestor altar will be present as part of the cemetery’s observation of Dia de Los Muertos. 4p—6p. Free
