In addition to the presentations\, Peregrine School will be selling baked goods and pesto pasta. \nWISE will be presented at Peregrine’s South Campus located at 2650 Lillard Drive\, Davis. \nWISE will showcase many topics including botany\, statistics for wildlife research and how it is used to answer wildlife questions\, a solar oven demonstration\, making a bookmark using chromatography\, and even a video game challenging visitors to identify pills vs candies. The Expo will be entertaining\, informative\, and inspiring. Many of our talented vendors can be found at annual festivals like the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s Pride Fest (June 4) and the I-House’s International Festival (Oct. 1). \nExpect to see friendly vendors with local handmade and original art \, crafts\, quality vintage items\, upcycled treasures\, earth friendly creations\, good food and more! DESCRIPTION:Join TREES Davis Saturday\, March 11 in Central Park for Timmy Womick’s interactive and educational TreeCircus live show! \nThis energetic stage show is interactive\, educational and captivating for all ages.  Womick covers it all\, from urban particulate pollution to basic tree biology\, while keeping the audience in stitches. \nDuring their performances\, TreeCircus discusses numerous tidbits about biology\, showing how trees filter urban particulate pollution.  They help students understand how their local trees can lower the temperature and raise their spirits. Throughout the hour-long program\, participants learn many things about trees\, including: their value\, why we should plant more of them\, and even how to climb them like the pros. Those who suddenly find themselves a part of the TreeCircus act\, out in front of the audience\, generally blossom in their own right. Student participation is what these programs are all about. \nThe show is often capped off with a climbing demonstration by world-class tree climbing competitor\, Chad Brey.  He demonstrates an often overlooked gift of trees – jobs! \n  \n  \n

She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher\, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing\, however—the school’s mean headmistress\, Miss Trunchbull\, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts\, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!
