After a hiatus due to Covid and the complete reconstruction of the event location\, folk musicians are once again invited to bring their acoustic instruments and play together informally during this jam session at Wyatt Deck (located next to the redwood grove in the UC Davis Arboretum). \nPull out your fiddles\, guitars\, mandolins\, penny whistles\, pipes\, flutes\, squeezeboxes—you name it!—and join your fellow musicians for a little bluegrass\, old-time\, blues\, Celtic\, klezmer\, and world music over the lunch hour. All skill levels welcome and listeners are invited. Takes place Fridays from 12–1p. \nShort-term parking is available in Visitor Lot 5 on Old Davis Road at Arboretum Drive. Hourly rates start at $1.75.

All are welcome to attend the meeting and help sew Linus labels on handmade blankets that will be given to Yolo County organizations that serve children in need. \nProject Linus members may take home donated fabrics and yarn each month to complete a blanket. Finished blankets can be brought to the next monthly gathering or to the Joann Fabric store in Woodland. Toni’s signature painting style combines serene and psychedelic backgrounds with high realism subjects. Cathi sculpts expressive\, imaginative ceramic creatures with vibrant colors. Both artists have a light-hearted\, playful take on artmaking that leads them to explore imagery full of fantasy\, surrealism\, or comedic exaggeration. \n  \nFigurative Exposé \nFeb. 10 – Apr. 2\, 2023 \nThe California Art Club (CAC) was first established in 1909 in Los Angeles to celebrate the heritage and practices of traditional fine art worldwide. Each year\, the Club holds a juried exhibition promoting artists who follow in the tradition of realism and craftsmanship established by the Club’s founders. This year\, the Pence will display the Club’s juried exhibit of figurative drawings\, paintings\, and sculpture by select CAC artists\, as juried by master painter Dan Schultz.  \n  \n— \n  \nVisit the Pence and explore other art venues in Downtown Davis on 2nd Friday. DESCRIPTION:The Folk Music Jam Session at Wyatt Deck is back! After a hiatus due to Covid and the complete reconstruction of the event location\, folk musicians are once again invited to bring their acoustic instruments and play together informally during this jam session at Wyatt Deck (located next to the redwood grove in the UC Davis Arboretum). \nPull out your fiddles\, guitars\, mandolins\, penny whistles\, pipes\, flutes\, squeezeboxes—you name it!—and join your fellow musicians for a little bluegrass\, old-time\, blues\, Celtic\, klezmer\, and world music over the lunch hour. All skill levels welcome and listeners are invited. Takes place Fridays from 12–1p. \nShort-term parking is available in Visitor Lot 5 on Old Davis Road at Arboretum Drive. Hourly rates start at $1.75.
