Stop by the Pence for a special demonstration by Inga Poslitur of her floral paintings from 2-5 PM\, or take a quick tour of her exhibit Renewal at 1 PM. Also\, the first 150 people to visit the Pence can pick up a free snack bag. \n  \nGarden Tour Tickets  \n$25 Members/$30 Non-Members/$35 day of event \nTickets are available for purchase starting April 5 online at pencegallery.org and in person at the Pence Gallery\, Redwood Barn\, and Newsbeat. Grief doesn’t affect us only after a major loss or death; it’s something we experience when we know a loss is coming. In fact\, this kind\nof grief can take us by surprise because we feel the effects of grief even while trying to ignore what’s coming. And our grief is compounded because it’s not only death that worries us\, but so do all the changes that are coming—physical and mental decline\, shrinking social circles\, financial concerns\, and loss of dreams and plans. Whether you’re a patient\, a family member\, or close friend\, this support group is designed to help you process what you’re feeling\, find companionship and perspective from others\, and find a pathway forward with dignity and even hope for a meaningful parting and transition to the next stage of your journey.

Participate in the “Sheep Shift Climate Poetry” event acknowledging the sustainability efforts of UC Davis. Craft poems based on the haphazard groupings of words created by the sheep. It’s like refrigerator magnet poetry but with sheep! \nMAY 15-17: TBD Event. This week’s special event will be based on what the Sheepmowers’ Community Engagement Interns choose! \nJUNE 5-7: Help celebrate Wool Week with the Sheepmowers at UC Davis! There will be people spinning roving into yarn and giving felting demonstrations\, in addition to lots of crafts for children.  We’ll even have fertilizer made from sheep wool! \nMerchandise will be available for purchase at all dates\, including clothing\, posters\, and stickers!
