DESCRIPTION:ABOUT \nWinters Youth Day celebrates its 85th birthday with one of the finest parades in Northern California and a day full of fun and festivities. The 85th annual Youth Day Parade will again march down historic Main Street in the City of Winters on Saturday\, April 29 DNA\, 2023. \nWinters Youth Day was founded in 1933 by Reverend Charles P. Barkman and High School Principal A. M. Herron to teach young people the aspects of city government. Each year the young people of Winters take over the elected offices of the city. Students will job shadow their City official counterparts to gain experience on how city government works. All are then honored with the annual Winters Youth Day Parade and Celebration. Proceeds from the annual event go towards leadership scholarships for deserving Winters High School seniors. \nThe Winters Youth Day Committee wishes to extend this personal invitation to you and your organization\, group or family to share in the Youth Day excitement and participate in our parade. As always there is no entry fee. \nCash prizes\, trophies and ribbons are being offered to the best in several categories. Professional C.S.H.A. Judging will be available for all horse entries.
