This class will help improve your posture\, balance and core strength and learn how to move through the world with more confidence and grace. You will be guided through a beat based workout that flows to the music with personalized modifications and extra challenges to fit your needs. Yolo Barre is for dancers (at heart)\, music lovers and people that don’t like gyms. You will be given cues to better connect with your body\, help you find focus\, and move with poise resulting in feeling and looking your best. \nAfter your workout\, enjoy picking your own fresh flower bouquet at our farm to take home with you. Hot tea and water will be provided. \nThe Barre workout will be led by Brianna who has spent most of her life at the barre. Before Yolo Barre Brianna spent her time in the field manifesting what an ideal fitness routine would look and feel like. As a personal trainer and group fitness instructor of a number of different modalities in the Bay Area for over a decade\, Brianna discovered barre was the safest most fun way to get her clients results. \n$65 per person

DESCRIPTION:Woodland Area Roller Derby needs your help! \nWe have been an established women’s sports team and supportive community non-profit organization in Woodland since 2014. Sadly\, the roller rink in woodland closed\, but we were thrilled when the city put up lights for us to use at Ferns Park. We were just informed that the city will be reconditioning the “cage” as we call the old tennis courts. This reconditioning sounds great on paper\, but they have told us we will no longer be able to skate there\, KICKING US OUT OF OUR HOME. \nNot only us but other Roller Sports teams in our area. This is our only open and flat skating area in town! The skate park in Woodland is not suitable to team sports! We aim to bring comradery and empowerment to our community through Roller Derby and want a space for all Roller Sports! \nThere is a meeting planned for June 12th\, and we are asking the community to email the city of Woodland asking WARD to be able to keep the cage. Also the more people who show up to the meeting the more our cause will be heard! WARD will be out there wearing our Orange! \nWe have a petition at Change.org/SaveTheCage your signature would mean the world to us! \n#savethecage \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Welcome back\, campers! \n\nWho: This camp is open to any and all athletes ages 7-14 and 2nd – 8th grade. This camp is geared towards younger players. If you are a skilled and experienced player looking for reps prior to tryouts\, this camp may not be a good fit. Our Aggie Aces Summer Camp will focus on the fundamental skills of volleyball. We will include plenty of skill-based drills\, team play and a variety of non-volleyball games in a team environment. Coaches make every attempt to place athletes into age/skill-appropriate groups. This camp will sell out.\nWhere: Hickey Gym\nWhen: June 19-22\, 2023 (Check-in June 19\, 8:30 am\, camp runs 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily)\nCost: $315\n\nCamp t-shirt is included in camp registration fee. DESCRIPTION:Release\, recharge\, and recenter by gifting yourself 90 minutes of intuitive\, inspired\, mindful movement with a welcoming local community!\n\nThese days\, we are all feeling the edges of our capacity to cope. You can deepen and supercharge your self-care by tapping into the wisdom of your body.\n\nOnce a month\, join a growing and diverse community in discovering the special alchemy that occurs at the intersection of mindfulness\, movement\, and music. No dance experience is needed; come and be welcomed *as you are.*\n\nEach event will begin with brief introductions and setting of intentions for the session. Then\, accompanied by a carefully curated playlist of inspiring music and sound\, Teresa will help facilitate your journey of intuitive movement\, guiding you to find inspiration in your:\n\n– breath\n– sound\n– body\n– mind\n– spirit\n– story\n\nWe approach this in a state of mindfulness\, which is characterized by:\n\n– non-judgment\n– patience\n– having a beginner’s mind\n– trust\n– non-striving\n– acceptance\n– letting go\n\nYou will have the opportunity to explore your inner depths through active movement\, contemplative stillness\, and all that emerges in-between.\n\nPersonal awareness and attunement to one’s own limits\, boundaries\, and needs throughout the practice is foundational to mindful dance.
