SUMMARY:Davis Odd Fellows Thursday Live! Holiday Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Davis Odd Fellows Thursday Live! concert series is having a special show on December 1st.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will be celebrating the holiday season and our 100th show! The Davis Odd Fellows Hall is located at 415 2nd Street in downtown Davis. The show is donation only with all donations benefiting the many programs the Odd Fellows contribute to throughout the year. Doors open at 7 PM and the music starts at 7:30 PM. \nOur first show was November 2009 and until the pandemic shut us down in April 2020 we presented music the first Thursday of most months. Our lodge hall had just been renovated and we were looking for ways to show it off. Kurt Roggli\, a member of Odd Fellows and local musician\, proposed the idea of a monthly\, donation only\, concert series with all donations going to the musicians. Our aim was to have our shows be affordable enough for everyone in our community to be able to hear music in a beautiful space\, showcase all of the wonderful musicians in our area\, see old friends and make new ones\, and find out about the great work Odd Fellows does. \nThirteen years and a pandemic later\, we’re back and still going strong and hope to continue for at least another 100 shows. Juelie Roggli\, MC of Thursday Live! said\, “It’s the Davis community who come out every month and donate so generously that has kept us going and the musicians wanting to come play at the Hall again.” \nOur December 1st show will be a “Spirit of the Season” show. We’re lucky to have some of Davis’ finest musicians join us. We’ll have 5 groups each play a few winter or holiday songs. Joining us will be: According to Bazooka\, Biscuits & Honey\, Me & Him\, The Muddy Waders\, and Keith Adolfo Campos. \nThursday Live! is sponsored by the Davis Odd Fellows Music and Concert Committee with the support of KDRT radio and Jim Buchanan. DESCRIPTION:After a year hiatus\, the crab feed is back!  The Kiwanis Club of Davis’ Crab Feed is a 40-year tradition that has raised thousands of dollars for the benefit of local charities\, thanks in no small part to sponsors such as yourself. With your help\, we have been able to assist local community organizations such as Davis Community Meals\, STEAC\, Kiwanis Family House\, Communicare\, the Elderly Nutrition Program and many others.  We have also recently become a major sponsor for NorCal Trykers which donates specially made tricycles for handicapped kids. \nOur 41st Annual Crab Feed will be held on Friday evening\, February 10\, 2023 at the Veterans Memorial Center in Davis. We have a festive evening planned that includes a raffle and silent auction. The performance includes a short lecture/demonstration of art concepts that different mediums share\, followed by pieces in performance. \nLocal artists who are participating in the event include Choreographers: Ann Marie Dragich\, Erin Dunning\, Taylor Herrera\, Tasé\, and Pamela Trokanski. Visual Artists include: Parto Aram\, Analisa Bevan\, Robin Lee Carlson\, Joan Jarvis\, and Binuta Sudhakaran. Musicians include: Meri Superak and Hank Lawson.
