SUMMARY:Tree-mendous Mulching at Lake Solano Park
DESCRIPTION:December 9 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm\nJoin us on December 9th from 9:30AM-12:30PM to add mulch around young trees in the Lake Solano Day-Use Area! Mulching protects our young native trees from competitive\, non-native weed growth. We may also have additional time to plant new trees! This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council\, Solano Resource Conservation District\, and Solano County Parks. \nPlease wear sturdy shoes\, weather-appropriate clothing\, and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary equipment\, water\, and snacks will be provided. We will also provide a parking pass for volunteers. This event is open to all community members regardless of skill or previous experience. We will teach you! All ages are welcome\, however\, a guardian is recommended for children under 14. \nPlease do not attend any PCC volunteer event if you have had a COVID-19 exposure or are experiencing any COVID or cold/flu symptoms. DESCRIPTION:Tuleyome is excited to continue our partnership with the University of California Natural Reserve System to help maintain the trails at Stebbins Cold Canyon! This hiking area sees thousands of visitors every year – Tuleyome is happy to help UCNRS keep these popular trails open with regular maintenance. \nPlease bring snacks\, water\, lunch\, and dress for the weather. Poison oak is plentiful\, so long pants are encouraged. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are required. Tuleyome and UCNRS will provide all necessary tools. Please bring work gloves. \nQuestions?
