SUMMARY:Earth Day Clean-up
DESCRIPTION:Putah Creek Council and the Friends of the North Davis Channel are collaborating to host a clean-up event in celebration of April being Earth Month. The event will be held on Saturday\, April 13th from 9AM-12PM at Bird Entry Park in Davis and light breakfast will be provided. The clean-up is open to all community members\, however\, children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The organizations are looking for a maximum of 25 volunteers to collect trash that was deposited after recent rains. Volunteers must sign-up at putahcreekcouncil.org/events by 12PM on April 12th\, or until we reach maximum capacity. This week’s special event will be based on what the Sheepmowers’ Community Engagement Interns choose! \nJUNE 5-7: Help celebrate Wool Week with the Sheepmowers’ at UC Davis! There will be people spinning roving into yarn and giving felting demonstrations\, in addition to lots of crafts for children.  We’ll even have fertilizer made from sheep wool! \nMerchandise will be available for purchase at all dates\, including clothing\, posters\, and stickers!
