DESCRIPTION:Davis Craft and Vintage Fair began as the Square Tomatoes Craft Fair more than 10 years ago! The event was started by instructors from the UC Davis Craft Center in order to have a monthly craft fair for local artisans and the local community. We embraced local vintage vendors in 2017\, we’ve grown and we are still home to local artists and makers from the Davis and greater Sacramento area. \nWe collaborate with local non-profits starting with Couleurs Vives Art Studio who joined us in 2018! Many of our talented vendors can be found at other festivals like the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s Pride Fest\, the I-House’s International Festival\, and 2nd Friday ArtAbouts on E Street Plaza. \nExpect to see friendly vendors with local handmade and original art\, crafts\, quality vintage items\, upcycled treasures\, earth-friendly creations\, good food\, and more. Free live music fills the open space for a lively atmosphere so be sure to stop by and join us!  \n

SUMMARY:Willow Basketry: Weave a Gathering Basket
DESCRIPTION:Basketry is a time-honored craft rooted in place\, patience\, and practice. In this hands-on workshop led by Samantha Iacobello\, participants will learn the basics of “Stick and Strand” style basketry and create a 10” Berry Basket with a handle. Your finished basket will be perfect for garden harvests\, trips to the farmers market\, or gathering forest school treasures. Participants will have the opportunity to work with willow varieties sourced by Samantha from local watersheds\, including ‘Creek Willow\,’ ‘Sandbar Willow\,’ and ‘Purple Osier Willow’ along with cultivars and landrace varieties grown in her gardens. \nAll tools and materials will be provided. This workshop requires hand strength\, the ability to do repetitive hand movements\, and comfort sitting on the ground for extended periods of time. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring a cushion or low lawn chair for seating\, as well as a favorite utility or pocket knife if you have one. Please bring your own lunch\, snacks\, and drinking water – we will be enjoying a lunch break together halfway through the day. \nSliding scale cost of $70-$100 (pay what you can). Ages 12+ welcome. DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Davis Annual BBQ is scheduled for Sunday\, May 17\, 2026\, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Davis Central Park. It promises an unforgettable afternoon of sizzling barbecue\, live entertainment\, and the opportunity to connect with fellow community members. \nAt this event\, attendees can enjoy dinner prepared by The Davis Firefighters Local 3494. They will serve Tri-tip\, beans\, salad\, and ice cream. Vegetarian lasagna is available upon request for those with dietary restrictions. \nAdding to the festive ambiance\, live music from Cold Shot will set the mood\, creating an atmosphere of celebration and enjoyment. To complement the savory fare\, cold beer and wine will be available for purchase\, providing the perfect accompaniment to the culinary delights. \nIn essence\, the Rotary Club of Davis Annual BBQ 2026 is not just a culinary event but a celebration of community spirit and philanthropy. Attendees can come together to enjoy delicious food and vibrant music and positively impact the world around them. \nAll proceeds support local Davis charities and Rotary International projects\, making a positive impact right in our backyard and around the globe. \nTickets are $45 per person. SUMMARY:Davis Craft and Vintage Fair
DESCRIPTION:Davis Craft and Vintage Fair began as the Square Tomatoes Craft Fair more than 10 years ago! The event was started by instructors from the UC Davis Craft Center in order to have a monthly craft fair for local artisans and the local community. We embraced local vintage vendors in 2017\, we’ve grown and we are still home to local artists and makers from the Davis and greater Sacramento area. \nWe collaborate with local non-profits starting with Couleurs Vives Art Studio who joined us in 2018! Many of our talented vendors can be found at other festivals like the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s Pride Fest\, the I-House’s International Festival\, and 2nd Friday ArtAbouts on E Street Plaza. \nExpect to see friendly vendors with local handmade and original art\, crafts\, quality vintage items\, upcycled treasures\, earth-friendly creations\, good food\, and more. Free live music fills the open space for a lively atmosphere so be sure to stop by and join us!  \n
