SUMMARY:Art in Action: Recycled Miniature Masterpieces
DESCRIPTION:Art in Action Family Art Workshops: \nThe Pence Gallery invites children and their families to participate in our monthly family art workshops! Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun\, creative\, and collaborative with their family members. This is a drop-in program for ages 5-12\, with no pre-registration required. Projects are designed to introduce kids to making their own artwork by experimenting with creative ideas and materials. Our resident art teacher will introduce you to the wealth of possibilities in our upstairs classroom. \n  \nHow it works: \nWhen you arrive\, sign in at the front desk to pay with cash or card. There is a fee per child of $4 for Pence Members or $8 for Non-Members. A parent or adult caregiver is required to stay\, but only has to pay for the project if they are also doing art. Stay as long or as short as you like over the two hour period. (Become a Member starting at $65/year and save!)  \n  \nRecycled Miniature Masterpieces | Sunday\, January 7\, 1 – 3 PM: \nTurn recyclables into miniature works of art! DESCRIPTION:Lessons in Successful Watercolor Painting with Misuk Goltz \nTuesdays\, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Jan. 9\, 16\, 23\, 30 & Feb. 6\, 13 \n$150 Members | $160 Non-Members (materials not included) \n  \nJoin artist Misuk Goltz for a 6-session class that will teach students who have some previous watercolor experience to broaden their skills while focusing on their unique painting styles. Students will choose their own subjects to paint (with an option to also choose subjects from the instructor’s file). Individually and in a group\, the class will examine each project from start to completion\, providing regular reviews/critiques and feedback. Quick demonstrations\, studio tips\, and sample paintings will be added as appropriate throughout the sessions.
