SUMMARY:Art in Action: Family Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Art in Action Family Art Workshops: \nThe Pence Gallery invites children and their families to participate in our monthly family art workshops! Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun\, creative\, and collaborative with their family members. This is a drop-in program for ages 5-12\, with no pre-registration required. Projects are designed to introduce kids to making their own artwork by experimenting with creative ideas and materials. Our resident art teacher will introduce you to the wealth of possibilities in our upstairs classroom. \n  \nHow it works: \nWhen you arrive\, sign in at the front desk to pay with cash or card. There is a fee per child of $4 for Pence Members or $8 for Non-Members. A parent or adult caregiver is required to stay\, but only has to pay for the project if they are also doing art. Stay as long or as short as you like over the two hour period. (Become a Member starting at $65/year and save!)  \n  \nSpectacular Silhouette Paintings | Sunday\, December 3\, 1 – 3 PM: \nLet’s take painting to a whole new level! DESCRIPTION:Location: Putah Creek in Davis\, CA\nLevee Road Trailhead. Head south on Hopkins Road. Drive to the end (past University airport) and park. \nActivities:\nSelf-directed art activities will be offered at the tables below parking area. Hikes are encouraged\, with seasonal\nprompts to support observation. Full loops from parking area are about 2.5 miles. Everyone is invited to gather the last 30 minutes for conversation\, play and sharing of seasonal potluck food (optional) by the fire square. \nWhat to bring:\nWater\, appropriate outdoor gear and seasonal fruits/ foods to share (optional).\nPortable toilets and drinking water are available on site. Dogs must be on leash. \nThis event is presented by community members in partnership with DJUSD’s\nEnvironmental Enrichment Program (EEP) and Davis Farm to School. \nInfo and updates at  davisfarmtoschool.org and  facebook.com/CCEGardenPgme \n  \nPUTAH CREEK.
