DESCRIPTION:Art History Lecture Series: Amelia Kit-Yiu Chau \nBlack & Gold: Chinese & Japanese Ceramics at the Crocker Art Museum \nSaturday\, February 10\, 1 – 2 PM online via Zoom (Free\, suggested $10 donation) \n  \nAmelia Kit-Yiu Chau\, Adjunct Curator of Asian Art at the Crocker Art Museum\, explores the installation Black & Gold: Traditional and Contemporary Japanese and Chinese Ceramics\, on view through Fall 2024. DESCRIPTION:The Gorman Museum of Native American Art invites you to the closing reception of 50th Anniversary Contemporary California Native Art\, our inaugural exhibition in the new building. Join us to hear from two celebrated California Native artists. Lyn Risling (Karuk\, Yurok and Hupa) is a painter who expresses her perspective on cultural continuum through traditional and contemporary experiences. Gerald Clarke (Cahuilla) works in diverse media from sculpture and painting to performance\, and he is interested in how his personal perspective can engage those who view his work. \nThe reception will follow the artist talks. \nParking in the museum lot is free on weekends. \n
