DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gallery 625 for the opening reception of Inside the Artist’s Studio 2026! All are welcome to attend this free event that coincides with the downtown Woodland First Friday event. \nThis exhibition celebrates the creative spaces of Yolo County Resident Artists. This non-juried exhibition is open to the first 30 Artists who deliver their artwork to Gallery 625\, and each participating Artist will have an artwork and a photo of themselves in their studio on display. \nIt’s a surprise which Artists will be included\, so join us at the opening reception to find out which artworks are on display! \nThe opening reception will be held on Friday\, September 4\, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments\, Yolo County wine\, and live music by Jon Spivack will round out the evening. \nInside the Artist’s Studio will be on view at Gallery 625 from September 4 through October 30\, 2026. \nGallery 625 is located at 625 Court Street in Woodland\, in Yolo County’s Erwin Meier Administration building and is open Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm. DESCRIPTION:California Visions\nNancy Sloan\noil paintings\nSeptember 1 to October 3\n2nd Friday ArtAbout Reception: September 11\, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\nLogos Books\, 513 Second Street\, Davis\, CA\, 95616 \nSloan paints with oils\, acrylics\, gouache and watercolors. Her goal is to bring her love of the outdoors to her paintings and her audience. When she is out painting ala plein air in the early morning or late afternoon she tries to capture the elusive nature of morning mists\, the sun sparkling on a river or lake\, or sunlight dappling through trees. She hopes that viewers will experience brief moments of peace and tranquility from her work. \nSloan began painting with watercolors\, and discovered her love for landscapes\, while attending classes at Cabrillo College in Aptos\, CA. Although she has traversed many countries\, her primary inspiration continues to be the landscapes of California. \nSloan has studied with David Hummer\, David Shevlino\, Alyssa Monks\, John Cosby\, Camille Przewodek\, Gregory Kondos\, Gil Dellinger\, Kit Night\, Jeanne Dobie and Barbara Nechis. She has won various awards over the years including a KVIE Juror’s Award from Gregory Kondos. \nMeet Nancy Sloan at her 2nd Friday ArtAbout reception on September 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. \nPublic receptions for local artists will also be held at various venues on that same evening in conjunction with the Davis Downtown 2nd Friday ArtAbout. DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of our 19th Annual Art Farm exhibition featuring Art Harvest and Juried Silent Auction artwork. \nYolo Arts is pleased to be celebrating our Art Farm exhibition with an opening reception on September 17th\, 2026 from 5:30-8:00pm. This exhibition features Northern California artists and artwork inspired by the farmlands of Yolo County. Come and join us as we celebrate the wide variety of artwork entered into the Art Harvest and the Juried Silent Auction! The evening will also feature local wine and refreshments. This event is free and open to the public. \nThe evening reception will include the 6:30 p.m. announcement of the juried prize winners by guest juror Bryan Valenzuela. Three artists will receive cash prizes for Best in Show\, Best in Plein Air and Best in Photography. \nThe Art Farm season will conclude with a fun art fest celebration event on Saturday\, October 17 from 2-5:30 pm at the Gibson House property in Woodland.
