DESCRIPTION:Davis Craft and Vintage Fair began as the Square Tomatoes Craft Fair more than 10 years ago! The event was started by instructors from the UC Davis Craft Center in order to have a monthly craft fair for local artisans and the local community. We embraced local vintage vendors in 2017\, we’ve grown and we are still home to local artists and makers from the Davis and greater Sacramento area. \nWe collaborate with local non-profits starting with Couleurs Vives Art Studio who joined us in 2018! Many of our talented vendors can be found at other festivals like the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s Pride Fest\, the I-House’s International Festival\, and 2nd Friday ArtAbouts on E Street Plaza. \nExpect to see friendly vendors with local handmade and original art\, crafts\, quality vintage items\, upcycled treasures\, earth-friendly creations\, good food\, and more. Free live music fills the open space for a lively atmosphere so be sure to stop by and join us!  \n

DESCRIPTION:Ceremony for Personal Transformation: The Medicine Wheel A participatory workshop led by Sylvia Rios \nJoin elder and wisdom keeper Sylvia Rios for an immersive 90-minute ceremony exploring one of the most enduring symbols in Indigenous tradition: the Medicine Wheel. A circle with no beginning and no end\, the Medicine Wheel is a sacred map — of the seasons\, the elements\, the spirit animals\, and the cycles of our own lives. \nParticipants will gather in a circle as Sylvia teaches the community to co-create a living Medicine Wheel Earth Altar using medicinal plants\, stones\, and earth elements\, oriented to the four cardinal directions and their associated colors\, seasons\, and spirit animals: the Hummingbird\, Eagle/Condor\, Great Serpent\, and Mother Jaguar. Through platicas (guided talk)\, journaling prompts\, and a closing meditation\, participants are invited to examine where they stand in their own life’s cycle — in growth\, creativity\, relationships\, and spirit — and to ask: Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? \nThis is a ceremony for anyone seeking grounding\, reflection\, and connection — to themselves\, to each other\, and to the Earth. \nNot recommended for children under 10 \nPlease bring: A yoga mat or cushion for sitting in circle \n$20 General | $15 Students & I-House Members
