DESCRIPTION:Andres Alvarez: Quotidian Fire/La Fiebre Cotidiana \nExhibit: October 3 – November 2\, 2023 \nReception: October 13\, 6 – 9 PM \n  \nAndres Alvarez is a peripatetic photographer whose realm is the street. He keeps an eye out for the absurdities of daily life\, pointing out ironies and contradictions\, while still celebrating the exuberance of living. He has largely focused his lens on the streets of Sacramento\, documenting the cultural celebrations\, practices\, and daily life of the diverse people who live in the region. Each drawing depicts an item of clothing suspended delicately from a hanger against a blank wall\, inviting viewers to engage with the subtleties and complexities of each piece.
