As a resident of San Francisco\, Kent is interested in going beyond celebrating well-known locations and views\, to capture intimate scenes of daily life. In her paintings\, restaurant workers prepare dishes\, friends catch up on the street\, and drivers navigate traffic down a steep hillside. In large-scale mixed media works and digital prints\, the artist turns his observations of the natural world into intriguing configurations of color\, pattern\, and texture. \n  \n— \n  \nVisit the Pence and other venues in Downtown Davis for the 2nd Friday artwalk.
