SUMMARY:Farm Tour at Park Winters
DESCRIPTION:From our Old Barn—which we lovingly moved from the base of the original water tower—to our seed bank built of walls made of fruit drying trays that are historic to the area\, we are weaving history into each moment. Our fields are nourished by compost cultivated on site from our kitchen scraps and garden clippings\, furthering our commitment to this land. We aspire to inspire our guests through intentional design and practices and to spread awareness about sustainability. \nJoin us for a tour of The Farm at Park Winters\, where you will learn about our farming and composting techniques and what we grow each season. Depending on what’s in season\, you’ll experience new growth\, mid-growth and seed harvesting. While we mostly grow seasonal flowers\, we also grow some fruits and vegetables that are used for our farm-to-table experiences. \nTour dates: Nov. 11\, 12\, 18\, and 19 from 10–11a.

DESCRIPTION:The good folks at Ruhstaller have been supporters of the Flannel Grinder since the beginning and we’ve often toyed with the idea of doing an event at their farm. After a few meetings over some delicious beers to talk through some details\, we decided to go for a cyclocross race! \n\nRacing: Exciting racing through the brewery\, hopyard\, and walnut orchard. Come early\, stay late—it’s a cool place to hang out with the whole family!\nBeer: Ruhstaller grows their own local hops and brews some of the best beer in the area with a wide selection of styles.\nMusic: We will have live music right by the finish line for all to enjoy.\nFood: On a truck.
