DESCRIPTION:Join Yolo County Library and Yolo County Parks Division for the unveiling of the new Story Walk installation at Capay Open Space Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony will begin the festivities at 1 p.m.\, followed by a resource fair featuring local environmental organizations\, activities and crafts. At 2 p.m.\, enjoy a bilingual puppet show presentation of “The Golden Armadillo” by Magical Moonshine Theatre. Don’t forget to follow Señorita Mariposa’s adventures along the story trail!\nWeather permitting. \n

DESCRIPTION:Location: Putah Creek in Davis\, CA\nLevee Road Trailhead. Head south on Hopkins Road. Drive to the end (past University airport) and park. \nActivities:\nSelf-directed art activities will be offered at the tables below parking area. Hikes are encouraged\, with seasonal\nprompts to support observation. Full loops from parking area are about 2.5 miles. Everyone is invited to gather the last 30 minutes for conversation\, play and sharing of seasonal potluck food (optional) by the fire square. \nWhat to bring:\nWater\, appropriate outdoor gear and seasonal fruits/ foods to share (optional).\nPortable toilets and drinking water are available on site.
