DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Pence for our 2nd Friday ArtAbout reception on March 8\, 6 – 9 PM. Enjoy some wine while browsing the art exhibits and gift store. Free admission! \n  \nDavis Art Studio Tour Preview Exhibit \nMar. 8 – Apr.3 \nEnjoy previewing artwork by 40 artists participating in the annual Davis Art Studio Tour. A diverse sampling of ceramics\, textiles\, photography\, painting\, sculpture\, and more will be on display at the Pence Gallery. Following the end of the exhibit\, plan your visit to some of our city’s creative spaces\, in the free Studio Tour scheduled for the weekend of April 13 – 14\, 10 AM – 5 PM.  \n  \nErica Norelius: Natural Places & Urban Spaces \nMar. 1 – Apr. 28 \nErica Norelius’ new series of work offers an in-depth dive into the natural spaces of the Golden State\, reaching from the coastal cities and desert areas\, north towards Oregon. The quiet presence of man is often seen in small intrusions such as power lines and roads. Equally compelling are her captivating cityscapes\, which capture the busy highways and urban street life of Oakland and San Francisco. \n  \nGina Werfel & Hearne Pardee: Fragments \nFeb. 9 – Apr. 2 \nThis exhibit highlights recent paintings\, collages\, and drawings of Gina Werfel and Hearne Pardee\, who have recently retired from teaching at UC Davis after having spent more than 20 years teaching art\, in addition to maintaining busy studio practices. Despite the differences between their respective work\, they each approach their practice with the intent of layering or fragmenting multiple points of view or perspectives.   \n  \nBussie Parker Kehoe: Lucky Seven \nMar. 5 – 31 \nThis month\, we are featuring work along the stairway by mixed media artist\, Bussie Parker Kehoe. This series incorporates seven colors of old house paint and seven distinct assembling styles. \n  \n— \n  \nVisit the Pence and other venues in Downtown Davis for the 2nd Friday artwalk.
