DESCRIPTION:Artist Talk with Mercy Hawkins\nSaturday\, October 17\, 2-3:30 PM (Free) \nMercy Hawkins will speak about the development and trajectory of several bodies of recent work\, including its connection to craft. She will also explore the intersection of painting and music. \nWaltz of Life & Limb pairs Hawkins’ recent sculptural paintings with her vibrant\, large-scale watercolors on paper. Her imagery evokes seed pods\, flower buds\, or microscopic creatures\, immersing the viewer in an all-encompassing perception of nature. The exhibit is on display at the Pence Gallery from October 3 – November 6\, 2026.
