SUMMARY:Let’s Talk Murder! Mystery Authors Discuss Their Work
DESCRIPTION:From cozy village mysteries to dark psychological thrillers\, mystery novels are perennially popular: studied by academics\, promoted by celebrities\, and discussed in book clubs worldwide. \nWhat is the draw of these stories\, combining logical deduction and atmospheric dread? Winters Friends of the Library invites everyone to learn more at a special author talk with three award-winning mystery writers. Catriona McPherson\, Jennifer K. Morita\, and Laura Jensen Walker will share insights on their writing lives and the mystery genre. Whether you are an avid mystery reader or new to the genre\, it will be fascinating to hear what these authors have to say about the challenges and pleasures of writing mysterious fiction. \nFollowing the talk\, attendees may enjoy refreshments and chat with the authors and fellow readers. Books will be available for purchase and signing. \nThere is no charge for the event\, but donations to support library programs will be gratefully accepted. For more information\, visit wfol.org.
