Friends of Watermelon Music builds community by making music accessible to underserved populations. By offering events, education, and affordable services, we create opportunities for musicians and enthusiasts of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and grow.

Friends operates inside the main Watermelon Music showroom, across the room from the Watermelon Music retail store. We host events such as guitar circles, jam sessions, karaoke nights and musical genre workshops, and run a used gear shop where we sell donated and consignment instruments and accessories at discounted prices.

We greatly need volunteers! If you can watch the store for a few hours, clean and tune instruments, host an event, teach a group class, put up flyers, post to social media, take photos of instruments to list online or help package and ship items, we can use your talents
