Gwenn Walsh is captivated by the lush color of oil paint and the fluidity of movement used when it is applied to the canvas. She works directly from observation “alla prima”. She has explored figurative art, still life and landscapes. Walsh feels engaged in the opportunity that still life presents, especially as it applies to composition and lighting. Her paintings are completed in one session in order to capture the immediacy of the moment.
