Women’s Work
Apr. 12 – May 31
Women artists have long used humor and satire to critique the unequal treatment of women, in areas from reproductive rights to their depiction in the media. Women’s Work is a sampling of contemporary sculpture and paintings by thirteen artists who redefine gender and femininity through their art.
Renewal: Paintings by Inga Poslitur
May 3 – Jun. 23 (New!)
Inga Poslitur’s new series of oil paintings capture flowering plants in natural environments, as well as in lovely arrangements of bouquets in domestic settings. Painting from life, she emphasizes the life cycle of plants by detailing their blooming and fading in glorious detail, capturing moments of beauty to be cherished long after the petals have fallen.
Photography by Jacob Brody
Apr. 5 – May 17
We are featuring photography by Jacob Brody along the stairway. His work experiments with the technology of his time by merging analog and digital photography, producing a rich variance of color and depth in his photographs. Once his files are polished with software, he designs and builds his own frames to enhance his photography.
