PENCE GALLERY. The watercolor paintings of Misuk Goltz convey a world seen through both her travels and daily life that is full of emotional resonance. The World We Live In largely centers on her vignettes from these travels, alongside rural scenes from our region. Students will explore how to draw, print and paint on papers and use them to construct a series of abstract works, looking closely at how the placement of line, shape and color on a surface can create strong inter-related abstractions. Students will learn techniques for creating their own papers, ways to cut, tear and adhere papers to a surface, strategies and materials for sealing finished works and ideas for presentation. 10a—3:30p. $340—360
