THE ARTERY. Under Willett Elementary School teacher’s Judy Catambay’s guidance, students discover their artistic voices as they turn clay into art. The lessons in clay spark their curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world. Their work—and Catambays—is on display.
THE ARTERY. Judy Catambay, artist and art instructor for Davis schools, showcases student ceramic work. She also includes some of her latest sculptures as part of the exhibit. Under Catambay’s guidance, students at Willett Elementary School discover their artistic voices as they turn clay into art.
PENCE GALLERY. Women artists have long used humor and satire to critique the unequal treatment of women, in areas from reproductive rights to their depiction in the media. Women’s Work is a sampling of contemporary sculpture and paintings by thirteen artists who redefine gender and femininity through their art. Free
CREST THEATRE, Sacramento. See the classic 1984 movie Gremlins at the Crest theater in Sacramento, with the star of the film Zach Galligan in person. BRUNELLE PERFORMANCE HALL. This performance celebrates a Davis High alum who excelled in Hollywood before returning to give back to his community. It also highlights some of our favorite musical moments of the year. And on Saturday, help us recognize all of the seniors who make our program possible. 7p—9p. $10—12
